The Hart Inn is the perfect place to put the world to rights in front of a roaring open first and a locally brewed beer.More adventurous types may prefer some of the clifftop pathways and open moorlands on a full day’s hike. Experience the power of the ocean as you stand on Hartland Quay beach. On wild weather days, watch the waves crash onto the steep cliffs.On calm days, enjoy sunbathing on the shoreline, a sea dip or a picnic on the beach. Pop into the Wreakers Retreat Bar to admire the array of relics recovered from old shipwrecks of the past and receive a warm welcome with a variety of real ales to sample and freshly caught fish featuring on their menu. If Hartland Quay’s history of smuggling has got you feeling curious, head to Hartland Quay Museum to discover stories of shipwrecks and heroic rescues of the past.

Hartland’s Farmers Market and Cafe at Hartland Parish Hall, Hartland runs on the first Sunday of each month, starting from March -to December 10 - 1pm. Pick up locally grown, slow food with zero food miles added. Organic produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, locally baked bread and cakes plus arts and crafts are available to gift loved ones.
Pattered Restaurant is a great place to head to for a delicious fine dining meal, experienced in a tranquil wooded setting. Located a short distance from Hartland town centre at Pattard Farm, their menu is inspired by nature and the local area.
